Good bye Holy Land
Our luggage is loaded in the Red Bus #1. Today we say good bye to the Holy Land. This trip has been more than we expected. Thank you Jesus!
Heading to Nazareth, Mount Carmel, Megiddo and Caesarea by the Sea. Cloudy and cool- we have had great weather. Everyone is looking forward to getting home, but not looking forward to the long flight. Our flight doesn’t leave until 1 AM.
Johnny has been an excellent tour guide. He went to college for 3 years to become a guide. He speaks Italian, English and Arabic and Hebrew fluently.
“Sam”, our bus driver, is amazing! He has taken the big red bus to places it should not go. Sam is the man!
We took up a collection for tips for Johnny and “Sam”.
Nazareth- Mary’s well- only spring found in Nazareth. Mary and Jesus got water here. Mary may have had a visit from Gabriel at the well- the annunciation. Drank out of the spring that Mary and Jesus used. Bought a small jar to put the spring water in. So glad we got to see this.
Went to Mount Carmel where Elijah had a victory over the prophets of Baal. Beautiful!! Statue of Elijah. The view was amazing. Could see Megiddo where the Battle of Armageddon will take place- incredible view!!
Have seen protesters today.
Ate lunch at a buffet. Pretty place $15/person.
Caesarea by the Sea. Picked up seashells on the Mediterranean Sea- beautiful! The theater held 4,000 people. King Herod built this city in honor of Caesar.
Stopped at the Roman Aqueduct and got some sea glass.
We were supposed to eat in Joppa, but the travel agency advised that we needed to avoid Joppa due to the protesters. At outside at a beautiful restaurant on the Mediterranean Sea! Several weddings here. Absolutely gorgeous!!
Heading to Tel Aviv airport at 6 PM. Praying for no road closures due to protesters.
Made it to the airport. I got scanned and Dale had trouble getting through a check point, but we are checked in and now for the wait until 1 AM. Such a fun group on Red Bus #1! Have really enjoyed our time together! What a blessing!! God is so, so good!!
